Great new features!
Really happy with the new Roam, it looks much slicker now. Great to have a lager screen that’s good to read in bright sunlight and dark conditions. The smart navigation is really a plus, something that was missing with the other models. Now you can route it without using the app, not really a fan of using pan and zoom on the device to find and select a location. I think they could have done a better job on this. The automatically reroute function if you turn off an active course is something I was missing with other models and is really good to have. Overall wahoo is the most user friendly to use—the easiest to set up, easiest to customize.

Memory too small, bugs in app
The roam is as user-friendly as the bolt which is a good thing.
The improvements are things that other brands already offered for years.
The pre-installed maps need to be updated if you want to be able to use all the new possibilities. These new maps are much larger. Because off the extremely limited storage capacity. You are forced to delete all maps and even then you can't install even one full country like France or Germany!
If you want to delete routes from the device made with Strava, you need to delete them in Strava, so you lose this route permanently.
The app still has problems. I have to install wifi over and over again and it keeps playing the tutorial

Works amazing! Packed full of useful features
I've been using the roam for about a month. I used to use my phone. I'm a Strava junky and you can link to any app you have. It's down loads your rides automatically thru the wifi on your phone. The initial set up was super easy through the wahoo element fitness app. It works perfectly in the rain and on ruff terrain. The only issue I've found is the auto pause, when I am mountain biking on tech terrain at a pace slower than 3mph it will pause itself then may take 30 seconds to resume. So the fix is just shut auto pause off when you know your gonna go slow. Otherwise this is the best bike computer I've ever used. The new mount is very sturdy.

Garmin vs Element Roam
I’ve been using Garmin product la for a long time most recently the Edge 1030. While the screen and turn by turn is wonderful the connection to the apps through my phone became intolerable and when I went to iPhone 11 it was done. I bought a Element Roam and a chorus of Angels sang! The communication between the app and computer takes seconds, no more waiting for my bike computer to locate a signal as my friends ride off. The ease of use is incomparable the app is intuitive, fast and provides more ride and sensor information than I could ever need. Element Roam look no further.

Great idea - bad implementation
Since more than zwo years I am a waholigan - happy with My ELEMNT BOLT - a great Package. With upgrading to the nee ELEMNT ROAM I expected improved features with improved hardware. I am diasappointed - features and Display are great, but:
With increasing map size I Wohle expect appropriate memory - but Nottingham zappelnde. So instead of having all needed maps on my ROA like I have on My BOLT now I have to delete and install and delete and install maps depending on my routes. Very disappointing. In Addition, the software is less performant than on the BOLT.
The display ist great - map Details are great, but keystroke of the ROAM is Worte than keystroke of the BOLT.
In fact, I am disappointed.

GREAT COMPANY - GREAT PRODUCTS
Now I've got a few hundred miles on my new Wahoo Roam, I can confirm my expectations. It is brilliant!
Having used Element Bolt for 1000's of miles, the UI on the Roam was familiar enough and I've had no problems getting used to the new device.
Loving the new bigger screen and advanced functionality.
Cannot recommend the product enough - all my mates that use other brands of gps bike computers are jealous (especially at the inexhaustible battery).
Over the years that I have used Wahoo products, I have been extremely impressed with the after sales service that they pride themselves in.
Great company - great products, happy to recommend.

Great computer, incremental upgrade from original
I am a long time user of the original Elemnt, and a huge fan of the Wahoo ecosystem. My Elemnt needed replacing after taking a beating over the past three years, and I was torn between this and the Bolt. I'm glad I went for this, but I will say it is only a small advance on the previous generation. Performance and user experience are basically identical, which is generally a very good thing - I'd like to have seen more of a performance bump, and better support for copying settings from the previous computer, but the navigation and screen improvements are nice to have. Slightly overpriced, but a great computer nonetheless

Aussi bien qu'on le promet :)
Très satisfait de ce choix. Après pas mal de recherches, j'ai décidé que mon premier GPS ne serait pas un Garmin, marque qui m'avait déçu quand on m'en avait prêté un pour une semaine de bikepacking.
Le Roam est fluide, précis et endurant. La batterie tient bien une quinzaine d'heures, les cartes chargent en quelques secondes, je n'ai jamais eu de bug (en 400km pour l'instant). C'est beau mais sans fioritures, juste comme il faut. L'écran est clair et net. L'application fonctionne parfaitement. Je fais ou récupère ma trace sur Komoot ou Strava, elle est automatiquement synchronisée sur l'application Wahoo.
Le jour où je pars rouler, j'allume le GPS, je clique sur l'application pour ouvrir cette trace et hop on part rouler sans se soucier de quoi que ce soit.
